Description

The resort offers a quiet and relaxing atmosphere with two deserted beaches. The passion for the environment, intelligent use of local material, and strong support of the island culture are remarkable for Mango Bay. The resort is located on 20 hectares of a natural forest and garden, along 700m of beach, and offers an excellent experience of Phu Quoc. The 31 rooms and bungalows are furnished with overhead fans, locally-made beds and wooden furniture, cotton mosquito nets, and have outdoor bathrooms overlooking the forest. Hot water is provided environmental friendly through solar sources. In the restaurant and bar which sit on rocks not far away from the waves, you can enjoy an amazing view and fresh seafood as well as other freshly made dishes with ingredients from the island’s daily markets. The Mango Beach is a long strip of coastline where you can swim and sunbathe, and the garden surrounding the resort allows you to sneak into the island’s rich and fertile flora and fauna. A converted fishing boat brings you to snorkeling day trips and the in-house spa offers refreshment and relaxation.

Location
Phu Quoc is accessible by air from Saigon in 50 minutes, and for those traveling through the Mekong Delta the daily provided morning flights are a good option to fly to Phu Quoc from Rach Gia.

Mango Bay is sufficiently close to the airport (15 minutes by motorbike or 25 minutes by car), though far enough from the island’s main town to justify the distinction between a resort and a hotel.

Accommodation
Mango Bay is tucked away off the beaten track, with Vietnam’s first rammed earth bungalows, enclosed by beach and protected forest.

Rooms have neither air-condition nor TV, underlining a sense of peace and sustainability.

Facilities & Services
Restaurant & Bar
Restaurant and bar sit on rocks, only meters from the waves. There is an internet room at the restaurant where you can use the internet, you can borrow games to play or books to read in cozy atmosphere. You might also dive in the ocean right in front of the restaurant, or just sit and enjoy the big sky sunset in Vietnam with fresh fruit shakes, unrivalled cocktails or beers served ice cold.

Mango Bay is proud of its seafood-based menu, “daily selection” of wine of Vietnamese and international suggestions…

Activities

Boat
The Mango Bay boat is a converted fishing boat, and offers snorkeling day trips to nearby islands for up to fifteen people with lunch and drinks provided.

Einfach die Seele baumeln lassen...

Dennis Bauer from 8085 Zürich, Switzerland - 11/20/2011 19:01:04
