Culinary Hanoi – Quán Ăn Ngon

d

The restaurant Quán Ăn Ngon is located in an old french colonial building in Phan Bội Châu Street, No. 18 in the Hoàn Kiếm district, not far away from our old home. You can always meet very mixed people there. Because of its interesting concept and delicious cuisine, it is equally popular for locals and tourists. In Quán Ăn Ngon you can do a culinary journey through the country. On the extensive menu you can find traditional dishes from almost all regions of Vietnam. You can enjoy the food in the cultivated areas of the villa or outdoors on the patio with lantern light. Around the courtyard there are a lot of small stalls where the food is cooked like in a street kitchen. The style matches a cookshop with a huge selection, where you can watch the cooks. Everything is prepared fresh. The prices are higher than on a normal street kitchen. But I think the price-performance ratio is ok for this ambiance. The appetizers costs between 100000-300000 VNĐ (3-10 €). In spite of the incredibly large selection everything tastes delicious. For me, the Quán Ăn Ngon is one of the best restaurants in Hanoi. It is opened daily from 7:30 am to 10 pm. At noon and evening it is often very crowded. Best wishes, Cathrin Cathrin’s Blog: Zwischen Traditionen und Moderne
