With the New Year’s festival in Vietnam actually the spring is welcomed. Currently, we still have deepest winter. The coldness doesn’t want to disappear, but that cannot harm the good atmosphere. In these days the markets and shops are full of people who buy food and beverages, clothes and New Year’s decoration for their home. Sticky rice cakes (Bánh Chưng) are bought or home-made and without them New Year’ festival would be unthinkable. And last but not least the famous red envelopes with the Lì Xì (Lucky Money) also have to be prepared. Friends and fans of the art of beautiful writing also have a lot to do before New Year’ Day.
