With its new theme, “Nha Trang- the Sea of Rendezvous”, 2011’s Sea Festival 2011 will be held in ${bigcity_Nha_Trang:"Nha Trang"} with Truong Sa (Spratly) Archipelago as the celebration’s highlight.

The event will run from June 11th to 15th with around 50 activities lined up such as the Miss Khanh Hoa Contest, Road Festival, Cau Ngu (whale worshipping) Ceremony, “Swallow’s Nest Festival”, Trade Fair of Vietnamese High-quality Products, Film Week, traditional art performances among many others. Held every two years, this will be the fifth Sea Festival.

A photo exhibition of the Vietnamese islands, a music show, a film screening and a conference on the Truong Sa District is also among the awaited events. Several art delegations will participate not only from different provinces and cities but also from other countries like France, Korea, China, Cuba, and Russia. Apart from Nha Trang being among Vietnam’s most popular tourist stops, it is also considered as among the country’s friendliest destinations.

For the event’s organizers, the well-celebrated festival aims to promote the province’s traditional cultural values and tourism to the rest of the globe which will make everyone appreciate Nha Trang better and boost its tourism industry.
