CNN Declares Ha Long Bay a Top Tropical Paradise

CNN, a highly influential and reliable global news and information network giant, last week declared ${attraction_Ha_Long_Bay:”Ha Long Bay”} among Asia’s top five Tropical Island Paradises. The other four most spectacular coastal spots in Southeast Asia according to the CNN article are: Anambas Islands in Indonesia; Koh Chang in Thailand; Langkawi Islands in Malaysia; and Similan Islands in Thailand.
 
CNN interviewed two of Southeast Asia’s authorities on the subject, Herman Ho, managing director of Boat Asia 2012, Asia’s longest and largest running boat show; and Stuart McDonald, founder and editor of of travelfish.org. They were asked to name Southeast Asia’s most spectacular coastal spots.
 
According to McDonald, Ha Long Bay in northwestern Vietnam is “one of the most stunning boat destinations in the world.” On his famous website, he wrote that sailing and swimming is a pleasure at Ha Long Bay with its tranquil waters all-year round. Ha Long Bay has coastal waterway of about 2,000 islands spread over a 1,500 kilometer area.
 
McDonald further states that the limestone caves on Ha Long Bay’s bigger islands and the “incredible sunsets” are just two more of the famous bay’s must-sees.
