Hoi An To Be A Wi-Fi Zone

${bigcity_Hoi_An:"Hoi An"} is a popular tourist town in Vietnam. And to make the visitors feel more comfortable during their stay, the government of the central province of Quang Nam is planning to turn the entire town into a free wi-fi zone for the total convenience of its beloved tourists.

The ambitious project will cost a whopping VND23 billion (US$1.1 million) to realize wherein 350 Wi-Fi hotspots will be set up all over the town, especially in areas most frequented by tourists like hotels, cafes, restaurants and others. Moreover, not only the foreigners but also the locals will be able to enjoy access to free internet connection. The said project is aimed to be completed at the end of this year 2011. But apart from what is expected, the money for this big project will not come from the state budget. Newswire quoted Department of Information and Communication Director Ho Quang Buu as saying that the government will invest in the wi-fiing project of Hoi An instead by raising money from contributions and donations from different businesses.
