Ham Rong Mountain is an attractive tourist attraction 1800 meters above the center town of Sapa. Many would say that when viewed from a distance, the mountain appears to be shaped like a dragon’s head in the clouds. To get the best Sapa Travel experience, travelers coming to the area are always recommended to take the exciting climb up to the peek.  

The bottom portion of Ham Rong Mountain was converted into a public park made up of a long cobblestone walkway leading to the top of the mountain. It's a strenuous climb, but the spectacle that unfolds as one comes closer to the top makes the climb so worth it. As one winds up the trail, they can enjoy views of small streams lazily run through bushy foliages. About mid¬way, an orchid -garden with over 400 species of colorful blooms is found.

  Coming here during spring is even more pleasant as blooming peach, plum and apricot garden will be among the magnificent sights to unfold midway the climb. There are also ethnic traditional music performances by local boys and girls from Dao, Mong or Sa Pho tribes. At the highest point of Ham Rong Mountain, tourists will have a breathtaking view of the romantic Sapa town and the Fansipan mountain.
